Richard Erskine is a seasoned professional in safeguarding and training with extensive experience in various roles within law enforcement and education. Currently serving as a Training Specialist at The Safeguarding Company since July 2022, Richard focuses on enhancing safety within the education sector. Previously, Richard held significant positions at MPCT, including Head of Safeguarding & Operational Compliance and Lead Safeguarding Officer, ensuring a safe environment for students and staff. Richard's career at South Wales Police spanned from 1993 to 2018, culminating in the role of Detective Inspector, where notable achievements included the creation of the first Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub and the development of community safety policies. Richard's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts from Cardiff Metropolitan University and various qualifications in law enforcement training and project management.
