Darren Sheavills is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in healthcare software and systems architecture. Currently serving as Chief Architect at EMIS since July 2021, Darren is responsible for shaping the architectural vision for secure and sustainable healthcare solutions. Previously, Darren held senior roles such as Senior Solution Architect and Integrated Care Solution Architect, focusing on modernizing EMIS Web and designing innovative frameworks for cloud-based solutions. Prior to EMIS, Darren was involved in various leadership capacities including Research and Development Director at Learning Health Solutions Limited, Director at Archon Systems Limited, and Director at LetGen Ltd. With a foundation rooted in designing crime recording systems for West Yorkshire Police, Darren's early career laid the groundwork for a robust path in technology. Education includes a Higher National Certificate in Computer Software Engineering from Barnsley College of Technology, supplemented by self-directed learning in information technology.
