Doyle Carey, MA, HEM has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. In 1999, they began their career as a Police Officer at the Stillwater Police Department, where they served until 2006. After that, they worked as a Sergeant/K-9 at the Perry Police Department until 2008. From 2008 to 2010, they served as an OUHSC Police Corporal at OU OKC. In 2010, they briefly worked as the Noble County Sheriff in Perry, OK before joining the Payne County Sheriff's Office as a Size and Weights Deputy from 2011 to 2014. In 2015, they took on the role of Assistant Director at HHS - Hospital Housekeeping Systems before moving on to become a Safety Officer at Hillcrest Healthcare System, where they managed the Environment of Care for 1.5 million functional square feet. In 2017, they became the Safety and Emergency Management Coordinator at Medical City Las Colinas. From 2019 to 2022, they worked at Baylor Scott & White Health in multiple roles, including Environment of Care/Emergency Management Manager and Environment of Care/EM Coordinator. Currently, they hold the position of System Director of Safety and Environmental Health at Emerus Holdings, Inc.

Doyle Carey, MA, HEM holds a Master of Arts degree in Leadership & Business Management from Mid-America Christian University, which was obtained from 2012 to 2014. Doyle also achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Management/Ethics from the same university, completed from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, Doyle has obtained several certifications including Healthcare Environmental Manager from the Center for Healthcare Environmental Management, Hospital Emergency Management Training & Train the Trainer from FEMA, and 40 Hour HAZWOPER from Oklahoma State University. Doyle has also completed the Healthcare Leadership for Mass Casualty Incidents (HCL) certification from FEMA.
