Raffi Krikorian serves as the Chief Technology Officer and Managing Director at Emerson Collective since April 2019. Additionally, Raffi is the host of The Technically Optimistic podcast, which explores the intersection of technology and society, particularly focusing on the impact of artificial intelligence. As a board member for the Mozilla Foundation since December 2023, board secretary and member of the Tumo Center for Creative Technologies since May 2016, and board chair for Medic since December 2019, Raffi actively contributes to organizations dedicated to education and health in underserved communities. Other roles include board membership at the Aurelia Institute and Community Tech Alliance, and serving as a member of the MIT Media Lab Corporation Visiting Committee. Previously, Raffi co-founded SpeakEasy AI, a social media network aimed at enhancing democratic engagement and reducing echo chambers. Academic credentials include multiple degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Media Arts and Science, Physics, and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
