Luis Garcia is an accomplished finance and operations manager currently serving at EMERGE since March 2022, where previous roles included coordinator in the same department. Prior experience includes working as a barista at Barbarossa Coffee Roasters and a childcare worker at Campus Kids in early 2022. Luis also contributed as a Food & Leadership Fellow at Urban Roots and gained legislative experience as a public law and policy intern at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP and as a CHCI Congressional Legislative Intern with the U.S. House of Representatives. Additional roles include legal intake intern at Equal Justice Center, youth outreach intern at River City Youth Foundation, and math instructor at Mathnasium - The Math Learning Center. Luis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations & Global Studies and Government from The University of Texas at Austin.
