SVP International Business Development at emerchantpay

Robert Van Vuure has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Robert has held management positions in various industries, including payment service providers, product development, and customer support.

Van Vuure's most recent position was as the SVP of International Business Development at emerchantpay, where they worked from 2018 onwards. Prior to that, they served as the VP of Product Development at emerchantpay from 2013 to 2018.

Before joining emerchantpay, Van Vuure worked at Docdata Payments as a Product Manager and Process Manager from 2010 to 2013. Robert was responsible for product management, prioritization, backlog planning, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

In 2007, Van Vuure joined CQR Payments GmbH as a Team Leader for B2B Operations. Robert played a crucial role in setting up the B2B Merchant Reconciliation and Merchant Support infrastructure, providing merchant reconciliation, settlement, and customer services.

Van Vuure started their career at Bibit Global Payments in 1999, where they held two roles. Robert initially served as a Customer Support Manager, where they set up a new department and developed operational systems to improve customer satisfaction. Later, they became an Account Manager, successfully handling top-tier customer accounts and negotiating contracts with clients such as Bwin, Wanadoo, and Google.

In 2005, Van Vuure worked at RBS/Worldpay as a Business Analyst. Robert facilitated the integration of three customer support teams by analyzing their needs and implementing a web-based CRM tool for improved efficiency.

Robert'searliest work experience was at Cisco Systems, where they started as a Customer Service Associate in 1996. Robert provided support to EMEA customers and eventually became a Team Lead at the Amsterdam call center, managing and training call center agents.

Robert Van Vuure's education history is as follows:

From 2018 to 2020, they studied Mandarin at Sino Matters Beijing, but did not obtain a degree. In 2010, they attended Scrum.org and obtained a Professional Scrum Master I degree, focusing on Scrum methodologies. In 2006, they earned a Master's degree in the Advanced Negotiation Course from the University of Amsterdam. Prior to that, from 1980 to 1989, they pursued a Bachelor of Science at the University of Amsterdam, majoring in Human and Physical Geography, Economics, and Political Science. During this period, they also obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Geography.

In addition to their academic achievements, Robert obtained a certification as a Scrum Master in October 2012 from www.scrum.org.
