Phil Zinck is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in project management and technical consultancy within the energy sector. Currently serving as a Senior Project Engineering Consultant at Emera since June 2022, Phil Zinck focuses on grid modernization and distributed energy resource projects for Tampa Electric. Prior roles include Senior Engineering Specialist at Emera Newfoundland and Labrador, where leadership in power generation initiatives was demonstrated, and key positions at Nova Scotia Power, including Senior Manager of T&D Projects Implementation and Protection and Control Lead Engineer. Earlier career highlights include significant managerial roles at Stantec and SNC Lavalin, overseeing large teams and complex projects related to electrical systems and energy infrastructure. Phil Zinck holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bath, a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Dalhousie University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Dalhousie University.
