Alejandro Laya is a seasoned business executive with extensive experience in commercial and business development across the Latin American region. Currently serving as an Associated Partner at EMEA Associated Partners since March 2023, Alejandro has also held the position of Commercial Director for Americas Distribution & Consultancy since February 2019, focusing on brand representation and retail partnerships. Alejandro's consulting expertise at GLG began in March 2014, supporting clients in the Consumer Goods and FMCG sectors. Notably, Alejandro was the Country Manager for Changhong Group from November 2020 to January 2024, overseeing branded appliances and OEM operations. Prior roles include Commercial Director and Founder at Altius Americas, Managing Director at Ofica Representaciones S.A., and various positions at Electrolux, including Head of Commercial for the Caribbean Region. Alejandro began a career in retail with ExxonMobil as Head of Regional Convenience Stores. Academic credentials include Master's degrees in Management from Hult Ashridge and in Marketing from the China Europe International Business School.
