Alanna Shaikh is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in global health and international development. Currently serving as Executive Director at Embrace Global, Alanna leads initiatives that provide portable baby incubators to underserved communities worldwide. In addition, Alanna functions as a Senior Health Advisor with USAID in Yemen and holds the position of Head of the TED Fellows Coaching and Mentoring Initiative at TED Conferences. Previous roles include Principal Consultant at Tomorrow Global, where strategic health planning and risk analysis were emphasized, and International Development Writer and Blogger at UN Dispatch, focusing on global health issues. Alanna has also served in various capacities at USAID in Kyrgyz Republic, including Acting Health and Education Office Director, and has significant experience with project management and communications in organizations such as Abt Associates and UNDP.
