Paolo Pirjanian has held a number of roles in the tech industry since 1994. Paolo began their career as a Researcher/Lecturer at Aalborg University in 1994, followed by a Researcher position at Jet Propulsion Lab/NASA in 1999. In the same year, they also took on a Lecturer role at the University of Southern California. In 2001, they became CEO of Evolution Robotics, a startup company in consumer robotics products, and CTO of the same company in the same year. In 2012, they were appointed Chief Technology Officer of iRobot, where they restructured the R&D team and reshaped the management team and culture of Product Development. In 2015, they became an Advisor and investor for Intuition Robotics. In 2016, they became a Board Member and investor for Exyn Technologies Inc. In 2017, they became a Board Member for Happiest Baby, Inc. and Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Embodied, Inc. In 2021, they became a Venture Partner for Calibrate Ventures.

Paolo Pirjanian obtained their PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, and Vision from Aalborg University between 1994 and 1998.
