From 1992 to 1996, Ted Platz worked as a Sales Engineer at Braas Company, where they focused on automation products, primarily in industrial automation. Ted was hired and trained through the Parker Hanifan cATCh program.

From 1996 to 1999, Ted served as the President at Automated Motion Solutions. Ted represented manufacturers of microprocessor-based control systems and provided application engineering services such as system design, motor sizing, and programming.

From 1999 to 2008, Ted was the Vice President of Sales at Dedicated Computing, where they oversaw the sales department.

Since 2009, Ted has been with EmbedTek LLC, where they currently hold the position of VP of Sales, Principal. EmbedTek designs and manufactures embedded computers and custom display solutions for original equipment manufacturers. Ted's role involves leveraging their expertise in computing, display technology, I/O, wireless, and embedded software to provide innovative and customer-specific solutions. Additionally, they offer mechanical, electrical, and software engineering services to OEMs to help them design marketable competitive advantages.

Ted Platz attended Catholic Memorial high school from 1983 to 1987. After completing their high school education, they enrolled in the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1987 to 1991. At the university, they pursued a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
