Julia McGhee is a seasoned technology professional currently serving as Tech Lead at Embark Studios since May 2024. Previously, Julia held various roles at Hypixel Studios from February 2023 to May 2024, including Senior Engineering Manager and Principal Engineer overseeing game services and development processes. Julia's extensive experience includes serving as Engineering Manager for Release Engineering at Meta from June 2019 to January 2023, and multiple senior production engineering roles in areas such as build infrastructure and asynchronous computing. Early in Julia's career, roles included Lead Software Engineer at Improbable and DevOps Engineer at Space Ape Games. Julia began the professional journey with an internship at J.P. Morgan in June 2009 and holds a degree from the University of Glasgow, attained from 2011 to 2014.
