Thomas Wilhelm is general counsel at Elysium Health. Before joining Elysium, Tom was general counsel and sole lawyer for Tom Ford International, where he was responsible for all legal matters from the corporate level to retail operations. Prior to that, he was associate counsel at Pearson Education and an associate at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton LLP, an international law firm headquartered in New York City.
Tom began his professional career as a chemist, working in the laboratories of Richard Schrock and Bob Grubbs, who later shared the 2005 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, and as a patent and chemical information specialist at ExxonMobil. He has numerous patents and papers published in scientific journals from his time as a chemist.
Tom received a S.B. from MIT and a Ph.D. from Caltech, both in Chemistry, and a J.D. from Rutgers School of Law.
