Ludovic Desvard has a diverse range of work experience in the field of research and engineering. Ludovic is currently the Research and Engineering Director at Elvie, where they are responsible for leading research projects. Prior to this, they held the role of Head of Research at Elvie as well. Before joining Elvie, Ludovic worked at Dyson for several years, holding positions such as Engineering Manager - NVH and Research Manager - Aerodynamics, Acoustics, and Turbomachinery. In these roles, they managed teams and developed research strategies to support product development. Ludovic also worked at Renault as an Acoustic Researcher, where they focused on building understanding and developing models to predict noise in a cockpit environment. Ludovic began their career at IRCAM as an Engineer Trainee. Overall, Ludovic has a strong background in research and engineering, particularly in the fields of acoustics, vibration, and sound quality.
Ludovic Desvard obtained a PhD in Acoustics from INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon from 2005 to 2009. Prior to this, they completed a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering from Arts et Métiers ParisTech - École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers from 2002 to 2005. Ludovic also obtained a Master of Science in Energy Management from Pierre and Marie Curie University in 2004. Ludovic started their education by earning an Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Production Engineering from IUT de Poitiers from 2000 to 2002.
