Kai is a valued member of the advisory board of ēluminəs, and consults on mobile and digital strategy and technical implementation. Kai is a results-driven and optimistic executive with over 12 years experience in iTV-applications, content and mobile entertainment.
He currently serves as the CEO of mms Inc, a leading mobile service provider that divested out of VeriSign in 2009 with offices in Los Angeles, Boston and Miami. Before joining mms in early 2010, Kai developed MindMatics’ iTV-business in May 2006 and the company became the major mobile service provider for America’s top TV-shows such as Deal or No Deal, Big Brother, Survivor, Sabado Gigante or America’s Next Top Model.
From 2000 to 2006, Kai was the CEO of plan_b media, which he co-founded in 2000 and led to profitability. He successfully grew the company to a leader in the production and distribution of mobile entertainment content with offices in New York, Cologne, London and Vienna. Up to its acquisition by a T-Mobile Venture in 2005 he had signed the mobile distribution rights for over 70 licenses, such as Star Wars, War of the Worlds, Garfield, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th and The Muppet Show.
Prior to founding plan_b media Kai worked for Siemens and the international consulting firm Droege & Comp., where he was a management consultant for eBusiness projects.

Kai studied at Universities in both Europe and Asia; he holds a Master Degree in Business and a PhD in Economics from the University of Paderborn, Germany and Hong Kong.
