Nicolas Herve

Design/integration And Verification Engineer For Atos/bull at ELSYS Design

Nicolas Herve has a diverse range of work experience in the field of engineering. Nicolas started their career as a trainee at Axiocom in 2002. From 2002 to 2007, they pursued their Ph.D., focusing on H.264 algorithm and implementations at Irisa, where they obtained their doctorate with highest honors.

In 2004, Nicolas also worked as an Attaché Temporaire d'Enseignement et de Recherche (ATER) at the University of Rennes 1 (ENSSAT) / INRIA.

In 2007, Nicolas joined LSI-TEC NE as a Lead Hardware Security Designer, where they specialized in secure algorithm blocks and implemented digital hardware countermeasures against side-channel and fault injection attacks. Nicolas later transitioned to the role of SoC Architect, where they were responsible for defining system-on-chip top architecture and performing hardware/software partitioning. During this time, they also worked as a Digital Project Leader and Internship Mentor.

From 2015 to 2016, Nicolas founded and led the Script-IC project, an EDA framework project for IC design that promoted script programming and script reuse.

In 2016, they started their own consulting company called Nicolas Herve Conseil, where they served as an Independent Consultant, offering services in software engineering and IT support to companies in need of immediate engineering hires.

In 2017, Nicolas worked as a Senior SoC Engineer at Elsys Design and was responsible for various design and integration tasks. Nicolas also worked as a Verification Engineer for Nokia during this period.

In 2019, they took on the role of a Design/Integration and Verification Engineer for ATOS/Bull.
