Elakkiya Shekar has work experience as an EMS - Customer Support Engineer at ELMEASURE since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Transpower Products India Pvt Ltd as an EMS Engineer from July 2017 to February 2022. In this role, they designed, modified, and maintained software, hardware, and related equipment associated with Energy Management System (EMS-Schneider) applications for real-time operations. ELAKKIYA also handled configurations of Schneider Make Converters Meters and Power Quality Products related to EMS.

Elakkiya Shekar completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from S.K.P Engineering College in Coimbatore from 2011 to 2015. ELAKKIYA then pursued their Master's degree in Power Systems Engineering from Anna University Regional Campus in Coimbatore, which they completed from 2015 to 2017.
