Dr. Saddam Abisse has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Saddam is currently serving as the Division Chief of Cardiology at Ellis Medicine since July 2021. Prior to this, they were the Director of the Cardiac Amyloidosis Program at St. Peter's Health Partners from January 2021.
Dr. Abisse also held prominent positions at Ellis Hospital, where they served as the Chairman of the PERT Committee and as the Medical Director of Non-invasive Cardiac Imaging since August 2017 and August 2016, respectively.
Before joining Ellis Hospital, they worked as a Non-invasive Cardiologist at Cardiology Associates of Schenectady starting in August 2015.
Dr. Abisse received their training at Brown University, where they served as the Chief Cardiovascular Fellow from July 2014 to 2015 and as a Cardiovascular Fellow from July 2012 to 2015.
Saddam started their medical career as a Staff Physician-Hospitalist at the Department of Veterans Affairs from July 2011 to July 2012.
Dr. Abisse began their residency at UPMC in June 2008, where they worked as a Medical Resident until July 2011.
Saddam Abisse, M.D. FACC FASE pursued their undergraduate studies at Union College from 2000 to 2004. During this period, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biochemistry. Following their undergraduate studies, Saddam Abisse went on to attend the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo from 2004 to 2008. During their time at the medical school, they earned a medical degree (MD) with a specialization in Medicine.
