Alan Calta has extensive work experience in product safety, quality, and reliability. Alan started their career at Vishay as an Electro Mechanical Technician, where they assembled and maintained automated production equipment. Alan then moved on to National Crane Corp., where they held various roles including Manager of Product Safety & Reliability and Test Engineer. At Grove US LLC, they served as Sr. Manager of Engineering and later as Manager of Sustaining Engineering. Calta then joined Manitowoc Cranes, where they worked as Director of the Product Verification Center and Director of Product Safety. Currently, they are the Director of Product Safety, Quality, and Reliability at Elliott Equipment Company. Throughout their career, Calta has focused on ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations, as well as providing litigation support and enhancing product safety through various methods such as design reviews, root cause analysis, and FMEAs. Alan has also been actively involved in industry committees and has successfully managed teams of engineers and technicians.

Alan Calta earned their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Prior to that, they obtained an Associates Degree in Pre Engineering from Central Community College in 1991. In 1983, Alan completed an Associates degree in Electromechanical Technology from Southeast Community College-Milford.
