Nicholas Kaplewski has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Their most recent position was as the Director of Operations at Elephas. Prior to that, they worked at Labcorp Drug Development as the Operations Site Lead - Manager III - Global Immunology & Immunotoxicology Services, where they were responsible for technical, regulatory, and supervisory duties. Nicholas also co-owned and managed Maple Oak Farm, overseeing a herd of show-quality registered dairy goats. Earlier in their career, Nicholas worked at Covance, where they held various roles including Senior Supervisor - Safety Pharmacology, Trainer, and Technical Scheduler. Nicholas also served as a Residence Hall Director at Rockford University and worked for the AFL CIO.

Nicholas Kaplewski holds a Master's degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Michigan State University. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Zoology/Animal Biology and Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. In addition to their formal education, Nicholas has obtained several certifications related to their field. Nicholas holds a Scientific Procedures Act Personal License from the United Kingdom Home Office, which allows him to carry out regulated procedures on living animals in the United Kingdom. Nicholas has also completed accredited training for working under the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986, offered by the Royal Society of Biology and THE SCOTTISH ACCREDITATION BOARD. Furthermore, Nicholas obtained the Laboratory Animal Technologist (RLATg) certification from AALAS in 2012, and the Laboratory Animal Technician (RLAT) certification in 2011.
