Rachel Carpio has several years of work experience in the scientific field. Rachel started their career as a Scientific Analyst at the National Corn to Ethanol Research Center at SIUE in 2014 and held this position until 2020. In 2020, they joined 5150 N'Fusion as a Scientist/Laboratory Manager, where they worked until 2022. Currently, Rachel Carpio is serving as a Laboratory Manager at Elemental Enzymes.

Rachel Carpio completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science, Spanish, and International Relations from Illinois College in the years 2010-2013. From 2013 to 2015, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Lastly, they attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2018 to 2022, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Agronomy and Crop Science.
