Omer Khalid is a Commercial Analyst at ESB since March 2024, with prior experience as an Analyst and Early Stage Researcher at Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult from May 2022 to February 2024, where responsibilities included conducting techno-economic assessments and engaging stakeholders for risk assessment in floating offshore wind farms. Omer also served as a Visiting Researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory from September 2022 to December 2022, focusing on sensitivity analysis in the WOMBAT cost model for floating offshore wind farms. As a Research Engineer at MaREI from November 2020 to April 2022, Omer investigated robotics and automation applications for operational efficiency in offshore wind turbines and published findings in a journal paper. Omer holds a Master’s Degree in Systems and Control from Delft University of Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Institute of Space Technology, complemented by a Higher Secondary School Certificate in Pre-Engineering from Cadet College Hasanabdal.
