Michael Laskey is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and robotics. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Electric Sheep since April 2022, Michael is focused on creating outdoor robots to benefit the planet, having previously held roles such as Vice President of Autonomy and Principal Engineer, where initiatives included landscaping robots and the deployment of smart autonomous mowers. Prior experience at Toyota Research Institute as a Senior Research Scientist involved leading the Generalized Behaviors Team, managing robot fleets, and developing synthetic data pipelines for advanced perception networks. Michael's academic background includes a PhD from UC Berkeley, highlighting expertise in machine learning, computer vision, and robotics, complemented by early experience as a Grad Software Intern at Intel Corporation.
