Blaine Burton is a Senior Technical Leader at EPRI since July 2023, bringing extensive experience from American Electric Power (AEP), where a career spanned from October 2006 to June 2023. In this role, Blaine managed AEP's Energy Delivery and Grid Solutions third-party R&D portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic goals as a Transmission R&D Program Manager Principal. Previous positions at AEP included Planning and Engineering Supervisor and Operations Engineer, with responsibilities in transmission outage coordination and next-day analysis. Additionally, Blaine provided technical training on power system dynamics and voltage control. Before AEP, Blaine served as an Outage Coordination Engineer at the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO). Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
