Matti Noponen is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in the energy sector. Currently serving as the Director of Technology at Elcogen since August 2012, Matti Noponen also holds the title of Development Manager. Prior to this role, Matti Noponen worked at Wärtsilä from 2008 to July 2012 as Manager of Product Platforms and Laboratory Manager. Earlier in Matti Noponen’s career, significant contributions were made as a Senior Research Scientist at VTT from 2004 to 2007 and as a Researcher at Helsinki University of Technology from 2000 to 2003. Matti Noponen earned a Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) in Physics from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, complemented by an M.Sc. (Tech) in Physics from the same institution, as well as a brief academic tenure at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 2002.
