Jouni Puranen is an experienced professional with a strong background in materials science and engineering. Currently serving as an R&D Manager at Elcogen since May 2017, Jouni previously held positions as Development Engineer, Postdoctoral Researcher, and Project Researcher at Tampere University of Technology from 2007 to 2017, where significant contributions included the development of protective coatings for low-temperature solid oxide fuel cells and pioneering advanced thermal spray techniques. Additionally, Jouni was a Board Member at sähkö SASP Oy, focusing on strategic planning and financial management from 2019 to 2023. Educational qualifications include a DSc. (Tech) and an M.Sc. in Materials Science from Tampere University of Technology.
