Daniel G. Perez serves as the Regional Director of Government Affairs at El Paso Electric Company, a position held since November 2012, where responsibilities include representing the company on policy and regulatory matters while fostering relationships with local and state government representatives. Perez's prior roles at El Paso Electric include Supervisor of Environmental programs and Senior Environmental Engineer, managing air compliance and environmental analysis across multiple facilities. Additional experience includes environmental engineering roles at Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. and the City of El Paso's Air Quality Program. Perez holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso and completed training in Public Utility Regulatory and Economics at New Mexico State University.
