Mahmoud Mahdy started their work experience as a Trainee at the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) in July 2007. Mahmoud was responsible for data entry, receiving client checks, and printing financial statements.

In December 2010, Mahmoud joined El Masria Group as a Senior Accountant and Senior Treasury and Bank Accountant. In these roles, they prepared journal entries, reconciled accounts, and handled bank transactions such as wire transfers and deposits. Mahmoud also managed cash flow, borrowing needs, and maintained banking relationships.

Mahmoud is currently working at El Masria Group as the Chief Accountant, starting in March 2021.

Mahmoud Mahdy obtained their Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Ain Shams University, which they attended from 2006 to 2010. Mahmoud later pursued additional certifications including Accounting Fundamentals and Reading Financial Statements from the Corporate Finance Institute in March 2023. Mahmoud also holds The International Computer Driving License (ICDL) certification from UNESCO, although the exact date of completion is not provided.
