João Cabrita Mendes has worked in the software development industry for the past 8 years. In 2020, they began working as a Software Developer at EKNOW, Inc. Prior to this, they worked at AreiaTek and KeborMed as a Software Developer in 2018. In 2016, they worked as a Software Developer at eknow inc, where they were responsible for autonomously developing and maintaining a platform to distribute advertising spots for the broadcasting industry in Portugal. In 2015, they worked as a Software Developer at GISP SA, where they were responsible for functional and technical analysis, defining UML class diagrams, data modeling, and sequence diagrams and integrations with external providers. João worked with JEE, EJB, Hibernate, REST services, JAXB, AngularJS, HTML, CSS and using Eclipse, Brackets, SVN and Maven. In 2012, they worked as an IT Consultant at everis, where their tasks ranged from functional analysis, programming in Java technologies, some web development and Liferay development/configuration. João was also responsible for effort estimation and technical decisions concerning Liferay and also work in several proposals.

João Cabrita Mendes received a Bachelor of Science in Communication Networks Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico between 2005 and 2012.
