Mike Belcher is an experienced engineer with a strong background in automotive innovation and research. Currently serving as an Innovation & Research Engineer at EirGrid since May 2021, Mike previously led the Assisted & Automated Driving Technical Team at Jaguar Land Rover, managing a team of ten to enhance customer experiences with automated driving features. Mike's expertise includes evaluating supplier capabilities, refining feature calibrations, and analyzing customer trends. Additionally, Mike held roles as a Vehicle Integrity Attribute Assessment Engineer at Jaguar Land Rover and a Research Efficiency Engineer at JCB, focusing on quality assessments and machine efficiency innovations, respectively. Mike's early experience includes a student placement at Eaton Corporation, where advanced dual clutch transmission work was performed. Mike holds a Master of Engineering in Automotive Engineering from Loughborough University.
