Ben Thorner serves as the Chief Business Officer and General Counsel at Eikon Therapeutics, leading Business Development and Legal since November 2021. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Vice President and Head of Business Development & Licensing at Merck Research Laboratories, where responsibilities included identifying and transacting deals to enhance Merck's pipeline. Ben also held multiple leadership roles at Merck, including Vice President overseeing North American Innovation Hubs and Associate Vice President managing Boston's business development activities. At Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, Ben led the Transactions Team within Strategic Alliances, and at Amgen, responsibilities spanned various executive roles focusing on licensing and negotiations. Legal expertise was developed through positions as an attorney at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison LLP and as a law clerk for the Honorable Randall R. Rader at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Educational credentials include a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Master's in Biology from the University of Virginia.
