Jord van der Weerd has a diverse work experience. Jord started their career as a Controlling Intern at KLM in 2013 and then worked as a Logistics Intern at Curacao Foods Trade in 2014. Jord also gained experience as a Planning and Controlling Intern at Rabobank in the same year. In 2015, they joined EY as a Thesis Intern and later worked as a Finance and Accounting Intern at Stylight. In 2015, they also started working at EGYM, initially as a Junior Finance Manager and gradually advanced to positions such as Finance Manager, Senior Finance Manager, Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, and currently, they hold the role of Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.

Jord van der Weerd's education history begins with their time at Ichthus College, where they pursued their Atheneum degree from 2004 to 2010. Jord then attended Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2010 to 2013 and obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in International Business Administration. During their time at VU Amsterdam, they also participated in the Honours Programme from 2011 to 2013. In 2012, Jord attended Copenhagen Business School for a semester as part of an exchange program. Finally, from 2014 to 2015, they pursued their Master of Science (MSc) in Accounting and Financial Management at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.
