Daniel Offen has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Daniel started their career as a Senior Scientist at Rogoff Medical Research Institute in 1991. In 1993, they joined Tel Aviv University as the Head of Neurology Laboratory. In 2004, they became a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Human Genetics and Molecular Medicine at Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University. From 2009 to 2014, they served as an Associate Professor in the same department. In 2015, they were promoted to the position of Full Professor in the Department of Human Genetics and Biochemistry at Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University. In 2016, they became a Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at eggXYt.
Daniel Offen began their education in 1979 at Hebrew University in Israel, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture, with a focus on General Agriculture. After completing their undergraduate studies in 1982, they went on to attend The Weizmann Institute of Science from 1983 to 1985, earning a Master of Science degree in Neurology. Continuing their academic journey, Offen pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at The Weizmann Institute of Science from 1986 to 1989, specializing in the field of Molecular Biology. Finally, they undertook a postdoctoral fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, USA, from 1990 to 1991, focusing on Molecular Biology and Immunology.
