Joseph Ruiz is a highly experienced professional in the biotechnology and scientific consulting fields, currently serving as a Senior Scientific Consultant and Grant Writing Specialist at Eva Garland Consulting, LLC since February 2015, and as President of Epigenos Biosciences since February 2020. Ruiz has a strong background in leading and consulting for various biotechnology companies, including Emergent Biotechnology Development Services, Enzerna Biosciences, and Transposagen Biopharmaceuticals. Academic positions include Adjunct Faculty at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and previous roles as Assistant Professor at Indiana University School of Medicine and The Wistar Institute. Joseph Ruiz holds a Ph.D. in Biology from UC San Diego and has also completed post-doctoral research at Harvard and Columbia universities.
