Richard Olswang has extensive experience in the field of actuarial finance, currently serving as a member of the Insurance Accounting Working Group at the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) since January 2015. At Prudential PLC, where Richard has worked since September 2007, roles include Head of Finance Actuarial and Head of Actuarial Reporting. Prior professional experience includes a position as Senior Consultant at Tillinghast from 1986 to 2007. Richard holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Maths from the University of Oxford, completed from 1983 to 1986, and received education at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Royal Grammar School, Newcastle Upon Tyne.
