Robin Knutelsky graduated from The College of New Jersey in Trenton, New Jersey with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a certification to teach. She holds a Master’s degree from Rutgers University in Education Administration and Supervision. Robin taught high school English for ten years before becoming the K-12 supervisor of Language Arts for fourteen years. Her area of expertise lies in curriculum development, professional development as well as aligning and improving instruction. She has dedicated her career to improving instruction with a laser focus on improving student learning. In 2015, Robin joined the New Jersey Department of Education as the Director of Teaching and Learning Supports. She was charged with improving the teaching and learning supports for educators in the State of New Jersey. This includes revising the model curriculum, developing consistent and quality professional learning opportunities for educators as well as developing innovative ways to support teachers on-site and virtually to improve student learning and the achievement of standards. In 2017, Robin became the Chief Strategic Alignment Officer where she, along with the Office of Strategic Alignment, was charged with clarifying, aligning and simplifying tools, training and support for school and district improvement. In 2020, she returned to a highly competitive school district in New Jersey as the District Director of Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment, and Human Resources. Most recently, as a doctoral student at Saint Peter’s University, she has completed her coursework and is now focused on her dissertation where she will earn her Ed.D. in higher education.
