Yusnier Viera has had a varied and extensive career in the technology industry. Yusnier began their career in 2008 as a Java Developer at TracFone Wireless and Encircle Payment Solutions. Yusnier then moved on to Acceller Inc. as a .NET Software Developer in 2008. In 2010, they joined Inktel Direct as a .NET Software Engineer. In 2011, they became the President of Spicy Math Corp., and in 2012 they joined Miami Dade College as an Assistant Professor and Mathematics Instructor. In 2015, they founded Hectoc Inc. www.hectoc.com, and in 2016 they co-founded Viera Academy. Most recently, in 2020 they joined EducUp as Co-Founder & VP of Education, and also began teaching Mental Math on TikTok.

Yusnier Viera received their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Applied Mathematics from the University of Havana in 2007, after earning their BS in Computer Science from the same institution in 2005.
