Spiros Papageorgiou

Principal Measurement Scientist at Educational Testing Service

Spiros Papageorgiou has extensive work experience in the field of measurement and research, spanning from 2007 to the present. Spiros began their career as a Language Assessment Specialist at the University of Michigan in November 2007 and worked there until January 2012. In January 2012, Spiros joined ETS as a Research Scientist and held this position until August 2016. Spiros then advanced to become a Senior Research Scientist at ETS from September 2016 until October 2023. Currently, Spiros holds the position of Principal Measurement Scientist at ETS, starting in October 2023.

Spiros Papageorgiou completed their education in a chronological order, starting with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics and English Language from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon in 1998 to 2002. Spiros then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Language Studies from Lancaster University from 2003 to 2004. Finally, they earned their PhD in Applied Linguistics/Language Testing from Lancaster University from 2004 to 2007.
