Jim Stanton is a seasoned education professional with extensive experience in promoting excellence in computer science education and workforce development. At the Education Development Center since February 2013, Jim has co-led the Massachusetts Data Science Workforce Challenge Initiative and served as Senior Project Director and Executive Director of MassCAN, a coalition that positioned Massachusetts as a national leader in K-12 computer science education. Prior to this role, Jim founded and directed Leadership Initiatives for Teaching and Technology (LIFT²) at Partnership for a Skilled Workforce Inc., a program recognized by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation as one of the top teacher externship programs in the nation. Jim holds a Master of Education in Urban Education and a Bachelor of Science in Economics, both from Boston College.
