Martin Weinacht has extensive work experience in various roles within the optical industry. Martin started their career at Edmund Optics in 2005 as a Sales Director, responsible for all direct selling activities throughout Europe. Martin oversaw a team of regional sales managers and supported in account management and coordination of OEM projects with the factories. In 2016, they took on the role of Director of European Programs, heading all projects connected to the strategic development of Edmund Optics within Europe. This included coordinating large customer programs, strategic expansion activities, and partnerships. In 2022, they became the Senior Director of Engineering, EMEA, where they formed and developed an engineering team to realize complex and custom product developments. Additionally, they are currently serving as the Managing Director of Edmund Optics since January 2021. Prior to their time at Edmund Optics, Martin worked at 2010 Perfect Vision GmbH from 2001 to 2004 as an R&D specialist, focusing on the development of a laser-based flap cutting device used in LASIK ophthalmic surgeries.
Martin Weinacht attended RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau from 1993 to 2000, where they obtained a Dipl.-Phys. degree in Optics/Optical Sciences.
