Michele has been a member of Editcetera since 2019. She started her editing career while she was still a practicing lawyer—she discovered that fixing up prose was far more interesting than suing people. She eventually veered into journalism and spent more than 20 years as an editor at the San Francisco Chronicle. Michele has a law degree from UC Berkeley School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in English from Yale University.
