Christine Slater has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Starting from 2009, they worked as a Recruitment and Community Partnerships Assistant at Big Sister Association of Greater Boston. Christine then served as a Program Coordinator at Emerge Massachusetts from 2010 to 2013. In 2013, they became a Project Manager at Emerge America. From 2014 to 2016, they worked at Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, first as a Development Events Assistant and then as a Development Associate. In 2016, they joined Ironwood Pharmaceuticals as an Operations Associate in the Medical Scientific Affairs department. In 2018, they briefly worked as an Operations Manager for Global Medical Affairs at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. From 2016 to 2018, they also sat on the Board of Directors at Emerge Massachusetts. In 2020, they became an Associate Director of Gender Parity Collaborative at the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association, where they collaborated with senior executives to promote gender diversity in the healthcare and life sciences sector. In 2022, they founded their own company, Slater Strategy Group LLC, where they serve as the Founder and CEO. Most recently, in 2022, they took on the role of Associate Director, Medical Operations and Patient Advocacy, and then Associate Director, Patient Recruitment, at Editas Medicine.
Christine Slater earned a B.A. degree in Philosophy & Political Science/International Affairs from Northeastern University in 2013. In 2021, they obtained a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education.
