Barbara Terenghi's work experience includes holding various roles at different companies. Starting in 1995, they worked as a Junior Analyst at ARTHUR ANDERSEN. From 1995 to 1996, they served as a Compensation Consultant at Aon Hewitt. Barbara then joined Edison SpA in 1997 and took on multiple roles, including Head of recruitment and selection, HR Business Partner, Head of development, training and compensation, CEO Executive Assistant and Transformation Team Leader, and CEO's Office Director and Executive Committee Secretary. Their responsibilities at Edison SpA included managing HR policies, leading transformation initiatives, coordinating executive team meetings, and supporting the CEO's office. During their time at Edison SpA, they also served as the Executive Vice President of Sustainability, overseeing the integration of ESG criteria and climate priorities into the company's strategy. Additionally, they have been involved in various projects related to sustainable development, stakeholder engagements, and ESG practices. In 2024, they became the Co-Chair of the Programme Committee at the World Energy Council.
Barbara Terenghi completed a training program called "InTheBoardroom by Valore D" in 2021-2022, which aimed to promote diversity in Boards of Directors. Earlier, from 1989 to 1994, they attended Università Bocconi and earned a degree in Economia Aziendale with a focus on Organizzazione Aziendale.
