David Batz is an accomplished professional in the field of cyber and infrastructure security, currently serving as the Managing Director at the Edison Electric Institute since June 2016, where responsibilities include developing and managing strategies to enhance security objectives in the electric utility industry. Batz also holds an appointed consultant position with the Office of the Secretary of Defense, beginning in September 2023. Prior experience includes roles such as Senior Director at Edison Electric Institute, Cyber Security Systems Engineer at Ultra Electronics 3eTI, and Cyber Security Risk Manager at Alliant Energy, among others. Batz has a solid educational foundation with a BA in Computer Science from Lakeland University and an AD in Computer Programming from Madison Area Technical College.
