Martin Lahiffe has extensive experience in community and youth work, currently serving as a Community ESOL teacher at Edinburgh College since June 2016, where responsibilities include teaching English to refugees and asylum seekers. In addition, Martin holds the position of Mental Health Youth Worker Team Leader at East Lothian Council since October 2020, leading mental health programs across multiple schools. Prior experiences include working as a Young People's Community Worker at CLIC Sargent, focusing on support for young cancer patients, and holding senior roles in youth development and participation with MECOPP, Durham County Council, and Northumberland County Council. Martin earned a Bachelor's degree in Youth and Community Work from the University of Sunderland between 1994 and 1997.
