Cyrus Mbugua is an experienced engineering professional with a strong focus on sustainability and the circular economy. Currently serving as an Ambassador for The Sustainable Procurement Pledge and the Circular Economy Institute on a volunteer basis, Cyrus advocates for resource efficiency across supply chains. As an EDGE Expert®, technical support for green building design and certification is provided through the EDGE standard in Kenya. Previous roles include Assistant Unit Engineer at Sarova Woodlands Hotel and Spa, and various engineering positions at Sarova Hotels and the Kenya Meteorological Department. Cyrus holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University and has completed multiple professional training programs in facilities management, energy management, and solar energy engineering. Ongoing education includes studies in regenerative leadership and MEP (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing) + BIM at JP Jacobs International University.
