Tamer Albishawi has extensive experience in the nuclear energy sector, currently serving as Chief Nuclear Officer at EDF (UK) since September 2004, where responsibilities include the safe operation of two 660MWe nuclear reactors and the development of a culture of operational excellence. Tamer has held various leadership roles, such as Commissioning Director, Station Director, and Operations Manager, overseeing critical functions including human performance and organizational learning. Previous experience includes roles at Scorpion Technologies AG as an Electronics Engineer, focusing on automated testing solutions. Tamer holds an MBA from The University of Edinburgh and additional qualifications, including a fellowship from World Nuclear University and a degree in Electronic Engineering with first-class honors from The University of Huddersfield.
