Richard Walker is an experienced supply chain and commercial development professional with a strong focus on the nuclear energy sector. Currently serving as the Supply Chain Manager for Nuclear Fuel at EDF (UK) since May 2019, Richard manages the uranics procurement and nuclear fuel fabrication strategy. Previous roles at EDF include Strategic & Commercial Development Manager and Fleet Materials Lead, where Richard contributed to the lifecycle management of electricity generation and oversaw procurement and engineering governance for a large nuclear fleet. Richard's earlier experience at Horizon Nuclear Power involved establishing the supply chain function and negotiating pivotal operational contracts. Richard began a career at EDF Energy in various roles related to commercial strategy and procurement. Richard holds an MSc in Mechatronic Systems Engineering from Lancaster University and a BSc in Physics from the University of Liverpool.
