Kevin Brown, CFP®, has a diverse work experience in the financial planning industry. Kevin currently holds the position of Director of Financial Planning at Edelman Financial Engines since October 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Align Wealth Management as a Financial Planner from November 2021 to October 2023.
Before joining Align Wealth Management, Kevin served as a Senior Relationship Specialist at Avantis Investors from August 2020 to October 2021. Prior to that, they worked at American Century Investments in various roles including Regional Retirement Specialist, Brokerage Flex Specialist, Business Retirement Specialist, and Investment Representative, from September 2017 to August 2020.
In addition, Kevin gained valuable experience as a Financial Advising Intern at Edward Jones in 2016 and as an Accounting Assistant at AllTrans Terminal Companies from June 2013 to July 2015.
Kevin Brown, CFP®, completed their education at Oklahoma State University, where they earned a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Finance & Management from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they attended The Woodlands High School from 2008 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, Kevin has obtained several certifications, including the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) from the CFP Board, the Accredited Investment Fiduciary from Fi360, a Broadridge company, and the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist from the College for Financial Planning. Kevin has also obtained the Series 7, Series 6, and Series 63 licenses from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority).
