Brian McIntosh

Chief Product Officer at Edcite

Brian McIntosh has a diverse work experience in the education field. Brian started working at KIPP San Jose Collegiate in 2011 as a Math Teacher, where they taught Algebra 1 and 2 for two years and also coached the Boys Varsity Soccer Team. In 2013, they joined Gateway High School as a Computer Science Teacher, teaching various subjects including Pre-Calculus, Computer Science, Civics, and Geometry. Brian also coached the Boys Varsity Soccer Team during their tenure there. Brian worked as a Research Fellow at S3 Lab - Student Social Support in 2014, and in the same year, they were a Curriculum Design/Research Assistant at Harvard Edlabs where they designed a full year of 6th-grade curriculum for an After School Tutoring Program. Since 2013, Brian has been associated with Edcite, initially as a Product Manager responsible for community outreach, recruiting new users, and supporting math teachers in using Edcite tools. Currently, they serve as the Director of Product, where they prioritize product improvements and new features for both the Edcite platform and Edcite Schools.

Brian McIntosh attended Bloc from 2015 to 2016, where they studied Frontend Web Development, focusing on HTML, CSS, Javascript, and AngularJS. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Economics from Harvard University, where they studied from 2007 to 2011.
